Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No — and for this tool that matters doubly. Reading and stripping happens entirely in your browser; a metadata remover that first uploads your photos to a server would defeat its own purpose.
Does removing EXIF change the image quality?
The image is re-encoded once at very high quality (95%), which is visually indistinguishable for photos. PNG files are rebuilt losslessly. Only the metadata disappears.
