Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?
No. The PDF is read, split and rebuilt entirely in your browser using the pdf-lib library. It never leaves your device — which is exactly what you want for contracts, statements and other sensitive documents.
Is there a page or file-size limit?
No hard limits. Because the work happens on your own device, there are no server quotas. Very large PDFs (hundreds of MB) simply take a little longer, depending on your hardware.
Does it work with password-protected PDFs?
Not yet. If a PDF is encrypted, the tool will tell you it can't be read. Remove the password first with the software that created it, then split it here.
